Product Description

Flexible pressure sensors are embedded in the fingertips of humanoid robots to provide feedback on gripping force. This enables the robotic hand to precisely control its grip strength and confirm that a target object has been successfully grasped. The aim is to achieve tactile sensing with the same high density and sensitivity as a human hand, enabling the robot to determine an object’s position and apply the appropriate amount of force. Key Features: Compact & High-Density: The tactile module features a 12x8 array (96 points) with a pixel size of just 0.8x0.8 mm. The entire module has a small form factor with a width of only 14 mm. Highly Integrated: The data acquisition circuitry is concealed on the back of the module, which utilises a slot-in design for easy deployment on various parts of the robotic hand and enables bus communication between modules. High Performance: The sensor has a minimum activation force of just 3.5g, providing extremely sensitive feedback.
