Product Description

Magnetic code discs are typically magnetic assemblies comprising rubber magnets attached to hollow metal brackets. The rubber magnet component is magnetised, and the magnetisation pattern generally consists of two rows of magnetic tracks with different pole pairs (combinations of north and south poles). Magnetic code disks must be used in conjunction with magnetic encoder chips to detect the absolute angles and rotational speeds of magnetic rotary encoders. We recommend using the iC-MU series products from iC-Haus for magnetic encoder chips.

Product Specifications

The iC-MU series of absolute angle measurement products features an internal sensor detection unit 1 and detection unit 2. Each detection unit separately detects a corresponding magnetic track on the magnetic ring. Each time the magnetic ring completes a full rotation, the magnetic fields detected by these two detection units produce a 360-degree phase difference. The absolute angle is measured based on this phase difference.
