Product Description

The PEEK Reducer is manufactured from polyether ether ketone (PEEK) and its composite materials. By replacing traditional metal components in key parts of the reducer, it addresses the challenges associated with reducers—particularly precision reducers—such as excessive weight, high noise levels, lubrication issues and corrosion. It features a lightweight structure, high transmission efficiency, low noise and excellent wear resistance. By replacing traditional metal reducers, it delivers precise power transmission for humanoid robots, drones and other equipment, serving as a key component for flexible motion and extended endurance in high-end equipment. It is 50% lighter than aluminium alloy and 50%–70% lighter than stainless steel, achieving an ideal balance between lightweight construction and high strength. It can be applied to rotary joint modules in humanoid robots. For harmonic and cycloidal reducers, weight reduction can reach 40–70 per cent. It is suitable for the elbows, wrists, knees and ankles of robots, reducing impact and wear on metal parts and improving transmission stability. With outstanding anti-creep properties, it maintains long-term meshing accuracy and stable precision.

Product Specifications

The core components of this PEEK reducer are precision-moulded from a modified polyether ether ketone composite material. It has a density of just 1.3–1.5 g/cm³, making it 50% lighter than aluminium alloy and 40%–70% lighter than stainless steel. It features a tensile strength of ≥ 100 MPa, a flexural strength of ≥ 165 MPa, and a notched impact strength of ≥ 7 kJ/m², maintaining stable mechanical properties across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 260°C to meet the complex operating conditions of robots. It exhibits a low coefficient of friction of 0.2–0.3 under dry conditions, with outstanding self-lubricating properties. The reducer delivers high transmission accuracy and excellent transmission efficiency, together with high repeat positioning accuracy and excellent creep resistance, ensuring high retention of long-term meshing accuracy. Suitable for mainstream reducer types, including harmonic and cycloidal reducers, it features low operating noise, corrosion resistance and ageing resistance, making it suitable for multi-environment applications. It perfectly meets the requirements of lightweight, high-precision and long-life transmission for humanoid robot joints.
