Swissnex in China, the Swiss Federal Government’s Centre for Science, Technology and Culture, acts as a bridge connecting Switzerland, China and the wider world in the fields of education, research and innovation, and is committed to supporting its partners in actively expanding and participating in the global exchange of knowledge, ideas and talent. The Swissnex global network is spread across six global innovation hubs in China, Brazil, Boston and San Francisco in the United States, Japan and India, and works closely with the science and technology sections of around twenty Swiss embassies worldwide to strengthen Switzerland’s image as a leading global innovator. Initiated by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), Swissnex is one of the Swiss Government’s overseas representations managed by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). The Shanghai office of Swissnex is attached to the Swiss Consulate-General in Shanghai.
