Its main processor is an Altera Agilex-5E SoC FPGA, delivering robust computing power based on 7nm technology whilst maintaining low power consumption and dynamic programmability.

The YPA5E0 system-on-chip (SoC) module utilises the Altera power-optimised Agilex-5E SoC FPGA as its core device and is housed in a compact form factor measuring 50 mm × 89 mm. The SoM features 256 MB of QSPI flash, 32-bit LPDDR4 memory (4 or 8 GB), a Gigabit Ethernet PHY, 17 Gb SERDES, and USB 3.1, making it ideal for industrial, machine vision and AI applications.
